DUSHANBE, July 16, Asia-Plus – Having acknowledged the priority importance of the Caspian gas pipeline project, the Turkmen side has already done a lot of work to kick off the project, without waiting for the ratification of the intergovernmental agreements by Russian and Kazakh sides, the Turkmen State News Agency (TDH) said.




Turkmen specialists have prepared a report on the outcomes of a survey of the Caspian gas pipeline route with a view of studying it further. The data obtained as a result of a survey will be included in the tender documentation for the gas pipeline construction.



At present, the Turkmen side is preparing a set of documents on land allocation.

will announce a tender for the supply of large-diameter pipes and necessary equipment on the basis of a conceptual survey and a preliminary engineering project.



The Turkmengaz state concern has ordered the construction of the 200 km Turkmen section of the gas pipeline. The construction will be carried out by the Turkmenneftegazstroy state concern. It is reported that other interested partners will take part in the construction.
