Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said the CIS summit in Bishkek was “very fruitful”. Meeting Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev, the Turkmen president noted that the summit was held at a high organizational level, the Kyrgyz president”s press service said.

During the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov extended deep condolences to the people of Kyrgyzstan over the deadly earthquake in the south of the country that caused human casualties.

“We can feel the pain of irreplaceable loss of family members of natural disaster victims. Turkmenistan is always ready to provide all necessary support to the brotherly people of Kyrgyzstan,” Berdimuhamedov said.

The presidents also discussed the issues of strengthening and expanding cooperation between the two countries both on bilateral basis as well as within the framework of international organizations.
