Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received a group of famous German doctors on 26 October. The group consisted of Sengul Akju, Johannes Zenka and ophthalmologist Arthur Muller who was awarded the honorary title of doctor of medicine of Turkmenistan this April for the “great personal contribution to the development of the national healthcare and strengthening Turkmen-German relations.”

German doctors expressed their admiration with the achievements of Turkmenistan”s healthcare system. They noted that this was due to the efforts of the Turkmen president who was in charge of the healthcare system for many years.

“Cooperation with German partners has grown into a good tradition. It is owing to active participation of leading German companies that all super modern clinics and diagnostic centers, built in Turkmenistan in the years of independence, boast state-of-the-art equipment,” Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.

The president of Turkmenistan briefed his guests on the plans and prospects of further development of the national healthcare.
