In January-September 2008, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan is equal to US$ 440 million, which is more by 87% compared to the mentioned period in 2007, Elkhan Nuriyev, Head of Centre for Strategic Studies of Azerbaijan President, said at the international forum in Almaty.

“Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan: perspectives of cooperation and interaction” international forum is attending by Bulat Sultanov, director of Institute for Strategic Studies of Kazakh President; Bektas Muhammadjanov, executive director of the first Kazakh President Fund; Georgian and Uzbek ambassadors in Kazakhstan; high ranking officials; eminent Kazakh experts and representatives of scientific, analytical and public Kazakhstan organizations.

According to Nuriev, Azerbaijan plans to launch its first satellite, where participation of Kazakh specialists is also expected in 2009-2012, Trend Capital informed.
