DUSHANBE, December 23, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Afghan national has lodged an application to the Khorog police department over robbery at his shop in Khorog.

According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), Afghan national Abdulhaidar Ghulomsodiq lodged an application to the Khorog police department on December 20 that unknown persons robbed his shop on the night of November 19-20.  They seized 20 cellular phones and spare parts for vehicles for a total amount of some 9,000 somoni (equivalent to some 2,600 US dollars), Ghulomsodiq said.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted on robbery charges and an investigation is under way.
