The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) granted a US $ 31 million loan to Turkmenistan to finance the purchase of two “river-sea” vessels with the capacity of 7 tons each for transportation of oil and oil products. The Turkmendenizderyaellary department will sign on behalf of the Government of Turkmenistan a loan agreement with the IDB for a period of 11 years at 5.1% interest rate per year on the condition that the project will be implemented in one year.

The State Bank for Foreign Economic Activities of Turkmenistan will sign on behalf of the Government of Turkmenistan an agreement with the IDB for a grant worth 198 thousand Islamic Dinars. The funds will be used to finance the project for “Research of possible production of silicon solar photoelectric converters” by NGO “Gyun” (Sun) of the Supreme Council for Science and Technology under the President of Turkmenistan, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat.
