KHUJAND, August 26, 2009, Asia-Plus — The Sughd regional economic has said local entrepreneur is obligated to repay his debt to Agroinvestbonk.

In a ruling handed down on August 24 at the Sughd Regional Economic Court, Justice Abduqahhor Sattorov obligated local entrepreneur Abdrauf Amonov to repay his 10,000 U.S. dollars debt to the main branch of open joint-stock company Agroinvestbonk in Khujand.

According to the judge, Amonov took 10,000 U.S. dollars from Agroinvestbonk’s branch in Khujand at monthly interest rate of 2.5 percent.

“Amonov had to mortgage his father’s house in order to get loan from the bank,” said Sattorov, “He failed to repay the loan in time since his business, he is engaged in driving cars from  Baltic states to Tajikistan, fell into decay because of crisis.”

Founded in 1992, Agroinvestbonk, with headquarters in Dushanbe, has main branches in Khorog, Khujand, Kulob and Qurghon Teppa and 61 other branches across the republic.
