KHUJAND, September 30, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Two persons were killed in the traffic accident in the northern Sughd province yesterday, according to the Sughd police directorate.

The accident took place near the village of Gukhona in the Jabborrasoulov district.  The 50-year-old Azim Begmatov could not control his Mercedes-Benz and hit the underage boy Ortiq Ortiqov and after that Mercedes ran into the tree.

“The driver was killed on the spot while the boy died on the way to hospital,” the source said.
