DUSHANBE, October 19, 2009, Asia-Plus — The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered a bill requiring amendments to the Constitutional Law “On the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan” at an October 19 meeting presided over by its speaker Saydullo Khairulloyev. 

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also considered amendments to the laws on scientific and scientific-technical examination, Tajikistan’s Red Crescent Society (RCS), environmental protection, and some other laws.

Some of these issues will be considered at the next sitting of the sixth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the third convocation, Sultonov said.
