DUSHANBE, November 4, 2009, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon yesterday sent a draft law on making amendments to the country’s law “On Holidays” to the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament).

According to presidential press service, the bill provides for marking November 24 as a National Flag Day of Tajikistan.

The president suggests that the National Flag Day should be celebrated as a national holiday.
