Switzerland canceled sanctions against Uzbekistan introduced after Andijan events in May 2005, radio “Ozodlik” (“Liberty”) reported.

After publication of EU report on improvement of the situation of human rights in Uzbekistan Swiss government decided to cancel sanctions against Uzbekistan, including embargo on arms supply, edition reported.

Swiss government made this decision on November 4, radio noted.

EU countries made a decision to cancels sanctions against Uzbekistan on October 27.
