DUSHANBE, January 25, 2010, Asia-Plus  — With support from employees of the Tajik Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, Cairo police found a 2.5-month-old Tajik baby, Muhammad Saidov, in a day after he was abducted by local woman, according to the Tajik MFA information department.

Davlat Nazriyev, head of the MFA information department, told Asia-Plus today that on January 21, local woman, who introduced herself as an employee of a charitable organization, promised Tajik spouses to watch their baby in their absence.

“However, she took the baby and escaped,” said the MFA spokesman.  “Cairo police found the baby in a day and physicians who examined the baby said that he is in satisfactory health condition.”

The farther of the abducted child is resident of the Tajik town of Vahdat, Amirhamza Saidov.  He is student at Al-Azhar University and currently living with his family in Cairo, Nazriyev said.

The Tajik Embassy in Cairo has expressed gratitude to the Egyptian authorities for an efficient work on seeking and finding Tajik national, the spokesman added.
