DUSHANBE, February 12, 2010, Asia-Plus  — More than 706 million somoni (equivalent to some US$162 million) has been collected by the government for construction of the Roghun HPP by February 10, according to Ministry of Finance (MoF). 

Shares in Roghun for more than 34.6 million somoni have been sold through Amonabonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank), 135,6 million somoni worth of shares have been sold through Orienbonk, little more than 109 million somoni worth of shares through Agroinvestbonk, 6.5 million worth of shares through Tajprombank, some 12.5 million somoni worth of shares through Tojik Sodirot Bonk, some 2 million somoni worth of shares through the Bonki Rushdi Tojikiston (Tajikistan Development Bank), more than 2.3 million somoni worth of shares through Fononbonk, more than 2.1 million somoni worth of shares through Bank Eskhata and more than 401.2 million somoni worth of shares have been sold through the MoF Board of Treasury.

We will recall that to raise funds to complete construction of the Roghun HPP the government started to sell shares in Roghun to people on January 6 this year.  Tajikistan has issued 6 billion somoni (US$1.37 billion) worth of Roghun shares.
