KULOB. May 31. “Asia-Plus” — All officers and cadets of the Kulob united technical college of the Defense Assistance Public Organization (DAPO) of Tajikistan are taking part in the community work day at the construction site of two houses for disaster affected victims.

DAPO has allocated funds from its own budget for the construction of houses in the suburbs of Kulob for disaster affected victims, DAPO director, lieutenant colonel Bozorali Azizov told the AP.

According to him, the construction of one of the two houses is funded by the DAPO Central Office, construction of the second is funded by the Khatlon regional office. “We decided to conduct all preliminary works and hire constructors for the construction process,” he said.

According to Azizov, DAPO cadets and officers also helped rescuers to evacuate people on May 7 when Kulob was hit by mudslides.
