KHUJAND. May 31. “Asia-Plus” — Two deputies of the city council (majlis) of Taboshar reported deprived of their deputy immunity. People’s deputies were unanimous in their intention to deprive director general of the “Zarya Vostock” enterprise Abdurahim Rasulov and senior engineer of the given company Abdushukur Urazbaev of their deputy immunity.
According to one of deputies who wished to remain anonymous, an extra session of the city majlis was conducted upon the request from the regional prosecutor’s office and counter-corruption agency which suspect the two deputies of misuse of funds.
According to Tajikistan’s legislation, a criminal case cannot be launched against persons with deputy immunity.
