DUSHANBE. May 31. “Asia-Plus” — US dollar continues to grow up while Russian ruble and Euro are still falling in Tajikistan.

According to the Tajik National Bank, an average rate of one US dollar has slightly increased. Dushanbe exchange offices offer 4.42 Somoni for one USD and sell it at 4.43 Somoni.

Euro, which started to drop in early May, continues to fall down against the background of its fall at the global currency markets. On April 30 Euro’s exchange rate in Tajikistan was observed at 5.84 Somoni, but today it is purchased at 5.41 and sold at 5.46 Somoni. 10 Russian rubles are purchased at 1.41 and sold at 1.42 Somoni.

Senior advisor to Agroinvestbonk open stock company Bahrom Sharipov believes that the fall of the Russian ruble and Euro is closely connected with economic situation in Russia and some EU countries. “Euro is facing serious problems since all EU countries have a single currency and if one of these countries face economic problems they affect all other member states,” he said.
