. According to this message, Central Asia region, which is populated with kindred nations, such as Tajiks, Uzbeks, Kyrgyzs, Kazakhs and Turkmens, from the immemorial times, is cradle of the ancient civilization.

“We, those who inhabit this God-given land, do clearly understand that nothing but multilateral and many-sided socio-economic integration can contribute to the development and prosperity of the republics of the region,” the appeal says. “However, with great regret we observe Uzbekistan’s unfriendly policy towards Tajikistan which significantly affects good-neighborly relations between brotherly states and nations. Today many countries are sending humanitarian assistance to disaster affected population of Tajikistan, but Uzbekistan blocks the delivery of the relief assistance.”

Tajikistan’s Embassy in Bishkek adds that the appeal was signed on May 27 in the course of a protest in front of the Uzbek Embassy in Bishkek in which more than 60 people took part.

The message stresses that protesters were holding posters urging to comprehensive economic integration, mutual understanding and friendship in Central Asia.
