DUSHANBE, July 19, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi held brief talks with his Spanish counterpart, Miguel Angel Moratinos, at the Dushanbe airport yesterday, Davlat Nazriyev, the head of the Tajik MFA information department, said.

According to him, the Spanish minister made a brief stopover here while on his way to Kabul, where he will attend an international conference on Afghanistan that will open there tomorrow.

Zarifi and Moratinos discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Span as well as the situation in Central Asia and Afghanistan.

The two also signed a memorandum on cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries, the MFA spokesman added.
