DUSHANBE, July 30, 2010, Asia-Plus  — On Thursday July 29, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev met with British Ambassador to Tajikistan Trevor Moore.

Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the Majlisi Milli speaker, said the two discussed expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Kingdom.  Ubaidulloyev and Moore also considered a broad range of issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Great Britain.

Mr. Moore conveyed an invitation from British MPs to their Tajik colleagues to visit London in November this year, the aide said.

We will recall that British Parliamentary Group (a delegation of the British Parliament), led by Lord Viscount Waverley, visited Tajikistan last November for high level meetings with the Tajik Parliament and other key Tajik authorities.
