QURGHON TEPPA, November 12, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The Khatlon anticorruption directorate has instituted criminal proceedings against Ismoil Murodov, a specialist from the Shahritus military registration and enlistment office, on the bribery charges.

Hikmatullo Ismatov, an official with the Khatlon anticorruption directorate, says Murodov was detained red-handed on October 3 when he was taking 200 somoni from local resident for certificate of exemption from military service for his relative.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Ismoil Murodov under the provisions of Article 319 (1) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – bribery, and an investigation is under way.
