DUSHANBE, June 14, 2011, Asia-Plus – 54 citizens of Tajikistan were evacuated from Yemen to Moscow due to deterioration of the socio-political situation in this country. Tajik citizens were delivered to Russia’s capital by two Russian Emergency Ministry’s air plains.

In Domodedovo airport Tajik citizens were welcomed by Tajik diplomats, Tajik Embassy in Russia told the AP.

“Some of our citizens who have just arrived from Yemen have returned back to Dushanbe while others decided to stay with their relatives in Russia,” the source said.

According to the source, not a single citizen of Tajikistan was injured in mass disorders in Yemen which last since February this year.

Yemen’s opposition urges for immediate resignation of the President Ali Abdulla Saleh who rules the country for more than 30 years.
