DUSHANBE, July 4, 2011, Asia-Plus — A delegation of experts from Saudi Arabia is arriving in Dushanbe today on a five-day visit, the Tajik MFA information department reports.

The main purpose of the visit is for the Saudi experts to participate in preparation of a government-to-government agreement between Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for avoidance of double taxation, the source said.

We will recall that a large group of Saudi entrepreneurs visited Tajikistan at the end of last month to attend the first meeting of the Council of Investors of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia.

Senior representatives from some 30 Saudi companies reportedly participated in the meeting that took place in the Tajik government countryside residence, Pugus, in Varzob district on June 27.  On June 28, the Saudi delegation members visited a number of industrial enterprises in Dushanbe and shared ideas on further implementation of joint investment projects.  The visit resulted in signing of a number cooperation documents for a total amount of 50 million U.S. dollars .
