DUSHANBE, July 6, 2011, Asia-Plus — CIS ambassadors to Belgium and permanent representatives to the European Union and NATO recently met at the Tajik Embassy in Brussels, according to the Tajik MFA information department.

Tajik Ambassador Rustamjon Soliyev as representative of the country holding the rotating CIS chairmanship informed his CIS colleagues of the process of preparations for a summit of the CIS heads of state that will take place in Dushanbe on September 5.

He also informed of achievements obtained by Tajikistan in political, economic, social and cultural spheres over the past twenty years as well as implementation of constructive programs in the country.

Ambassador Soliyev also informed them of the results of President’s Rahmon’s tour of Europe that took him to France, Austria, Luxembourg and Hungary.

CIS ambassadors highly appraised achievements obtained by Tajikistan over the years of independence, the source said.
