The mayor told Asia-Plus today that over the past month, especially after provocative speculations about soccer fans riots “I am under the impression that somebody has brought the situation in the city to the president in a false color.”

“During the meeting and the telephone conversations, I informed the president of the real situation in the country and existing problems,” Abdulloyev said.

Deputy Prime Minister Ruqiya Qurbonova and ministers of education, finance and health have visited the city this week to get acquainted with the situation and promised to assist with tackling existing problems, the mayor added.
