DUSHANBE, July 18, 2011, Asia-Plus — The governments of Tajikistan and Afghanistan will co-host the Fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA V) in Dushanbe on March 26-27, 2012, according to the Tajik MFA information department.

RECCA in Dushanbe is a follow-up to the November 2010 Istanbul, 2009 Islamabad, 2006 New Delhi and 2005 Kabul conferences.

The Dushanbe conference will consider various proposals and projects aimed to boost regional cooperation with participation of Afghanistan, the source said.

High-ranking delegations from more than 50 countries of the world as well as international and regional organizations are expected to attend the Dushanbe conference.  A business forum and a conference of researchers and experts will be held on sidelines of RECCA V in Dushanbe.

RECCA is a forum dedicated to advance Afghan stabilization and South and Central Asian regional economic integration.
