DUSHANBE, July 19, 2011, Asia-Plus  — A July 18 meeting of the Dushanbe mayor’s office, presided over by Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev, reviewed the results of the past six months’ work.

According to the statistical data from the Dushanbe mayor’s office, Dushanbe has produced a total of 2.8305 billion worth of industrial goods over the first six months of this year.  Compared to January-June 2010 the index of the volume of production of industrial goods in Dushanbe amounted to 106.5 percent.

Over the report period, an average monthly wage in Dushanbe was estimated at 805.5 somoni, which is 26.5 percent more than in the same period last year.

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office, says Ubaidulloyev ordered relevant bodies to speed up work on construction of the plant for production of electricity cable and energy-saving light bulbs in Dushanbe.  The enterprise must be introduced into operation before September 9 this year.

Besides, a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of plants for assembling trolleybuses and bicycles will be held in the Tajik capital on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence, Saidov said.
