DUSHANBE, March 29, 2012, Asia-Plus  — A government session, presided over by President Emomali Rahmon, took place on March 28.

According to president’s official website, issues related to speeding up a spring sowing campaign, ensuring preparedness for floods and other natural disasters as well as intensification of work of industrial enterprises were a major topic of the meeting.

Deputy Prime Minister, Murodali Alimardon, and heads of relevant ministries and committees reported on these issues.

Speaking at the meeting, President Emomali Rahmon, in particular, ordered to take adequate measures to ensure increase in production of farm goods in order to make stockings for the next autumn-winter period.

In connection with the high risks of further snow-slides in mountain areas, the head of state ordered to set up special commissions and establish warning system in all cities and districts.

Rahmon also ordered to organize three-shift operation of industrial enterprises after the end of electricity rationing in the country.  He also pointed to the necessity of taking measures to establish new industrial enterprises and create new jobs, the source said.
