The Collegiums of the Tajik Ministry of Finance has considered the results of financial activity and implementation of the State Budget of Tajikistan for the first quarter this year.

According to head of the Tajik Finance Ministry’s Department of Budgetary Policy in Economic Sectors Temurali Avganov, who reporterd to the Collegiums, overall profit of the State Budget in the first quarter this year made 2bln Somoni ($421mln). This is 4% more of the planned volume or 261mln Somoni more as compared to the budget’s profit in January-March last year.

According to Avganov, total expenditures of the State Budget in the first three months made 1.8bln Somoni or 85.4% of the plan. “Delays in funding are closely linked to untimely information provided by related ministries and departments as well as with the implementation of parameters of the joint investment projects,” he explained.

However, budgetary expenditures have increased by 227.5mln Somoni as compared to the same period last year. Avganov said that 802.4mln Somoni was allocated for the social sector.

“The volume of funds allocated to social sector coincides with the requested volume,” he said.
