A total of 43 places in Russian universities, secondary education institutions, scientific and research institutes, postgraduate courses were allocated this year to Sughd province.

According to Russian General Consular Service in Khujand, residents of Sughd province will have an opportunity to study at high and secondary education institutions of Russia, such as St.Petersburg State Electrotechnical University, Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics, South Ural State University, M.V.Lomonosov North (Arctic) Federal University, A.N.Tupolev Kazan National Research Technical University and so forth.

According to the source, those who wish to study culture and art should provide related education certificates. They will also need to pass creative exams in selected universities in line with the deadlines.

Postgraduates will have to pass through additional procedures specified by the receiving institutions. Therefore, apart from other documents, candidates will have to provide a copy of their diploma.

To simplify the adjustment procedure, postgraduates from Russian universities, who get their high education diplomas in 2012, must have a written confirmation issued by the receiving university.

Candidates for postgraduate study should also submit their essays on their future scientific research in Russian language (at least 10 pages) and the list of publications (where possible). Upon the university’s request candidates will have to pass entrance exams and pass through specific procedure of recognition of high education certificates.
