DUSHANBE, October 9, 2012, Asia-Plus — Five persons were killed and at list one other was injured Sunday (October 7) as two vehicles collided in the Rumi district, Khatlon province.
According to the Interior Ministry traffic police directorate, the accident took place in the evening near the settlement of Guliston.
“Kholdor Khudoyberdiyev, 22, could not control his heavy truck KAMAZ and it came into oncoming traffic and collided with Daewoo-Lanos, which was driven by Iskandar Musofirov, 67,” said the source, “As a result of the collision, the driver and four his passengers died on the spot. One more passenger sustained various injuries and was taken to a hospital.”
