DUSHANBE, November 12, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Mr. Mahmadasid Ubaidulloyev, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament), met here with Mr. Robin Jeremy Ord-Smith, British Ambassador to Tajikistan, at the end of last week.

Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the Majlisi Milli speaker, says the two discussed bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Kingdom.

The sides reportedly also considered issues related to strengthening the legal foundation for bilateral cooperation between the two countries.    

 “Ubaidulloyev called efforts of new British ambassador to attract investments in Tajikistan’s economy, increase quota for Tajik students in British universities and open branches of British universities in Dushanbe promising,” Saidov said.
