DUSHANBE, April 24, 2014, Asia-Plus  — Football Club Ravshan from Kulob, which is champion of Tajikistan, yesterday was demolished by Jordan’s Al Ramtha 0-5 in the group stage of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in Group D, according to the Tajikistan Football Federation (TFF).

AFC’s website reports Al Ramtha started the match strongly and they got the breakthrough after only five minutes when Kheir played a neat pass to an unmarked Kesse Amangouam who advanced into the box before firing a powerful effort past goalkeeper Rustam Rizoyev.  Musab Al Lahham and Mohammad Al Daoud also found the net before half-time as the home side took full control at the King Abdullah International Stadium.  Mohammad Kassas and Boliguibya Ouattara struck after the break to give Al Ramtha their biggest win so far in the AFC Cup.

“Al Ramtha deserved to win as they were the better side and they controlled the game for the 90 minutes,” Ravshan coach Ghayratali Mirahmadov

“We didn’t have a good performance and the players tried to find the goal and create chances as soon as they could.

“We made lethal defensive mistakes which cost us five goals and we didn’t manage to make a good comeback.

“We came here with only 16 players and the options were limited and I hope that we can have a good end to our campaign in the last match with a win.”
