DUSHANBE, April 30, 2013, Asia-Plus  — An operation carried out by officers from the Sate Committee for National Security (SCNS)’s office for Khatlon in the Qumsangir district, Khatlon province on April 29 led to the seizure of some 62 kilograms of narcotics, according to the CNS press center.

A totaled reportedly included more than three kilograms of heroin and some 59 kilograms of hashish.

Besides, 3.385 kilograms (some 3 kilograms and 385 grams) of hashish were seized in two separate operations carried out by officers from the SCNS’s office for the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) in the Shugnan district.

Since the beginning of this year, the SCNS officers have reportedly seized more than 950 kilograms of narcotics.
