DUSHANBE, November 5, 2013, Asia-Plus — Dushanbe mayor has sacked the head of the municipal antimonopoly commission.

Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev held a meeting on November 4 to discuss issues related to the ban on keeping farm animals in Dushanbe.

 “In this connection, the mayor’s office has permitted the Dushanbe milk to sell pasteurized milk in all neighborhoods of Dushanbe every day — from 6:00 am to 9:00 am in the morning and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the evening – at 3.50 somoni per liter,” Shavkat Saidov, a  spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office, said.

Besides, the mayor’s office has also invited other dairy producers having appropriate licenses to sell their products in Dushanbe.

The meeting also discussed the issue of protection of rights of consumers and Munim Kholiqov was relieved of his post of head of the Dushanbe antimonopoly commission for gross mistakes in his work.

The meeting participants included heads of relevant municipal agencies, senior representatives of the Dushanbe law enforcement agencies, members of permanent commissions of the Dushanbe local council (Majlis) and representatives of media.
