DUSHANBE, July 8, 2014, Asia-Plus /Avaz Yuldoshev/ — Presided over by Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda, a meeting of the National Anti-Corruption Council is being held in Dushanbe today.

The meeting is reportedly discussing issues related to countering corruption and coordinating activities of government bodies and civil society on prevention of corruption.  

We will recall that Tajikistan’s National Anti-Corruption Council was established on December 14, 2010 and its first meeting was held on December 30, 2011.  The meeting was attended by the authorized representatives of parliament, presidential staff and government, ministries and agencies, prominent civil society institutions, international organizations in Tajikistan and mass media. The meeting agenda included draft Action Plan of the National Anti-Corruption Council to raise public awareness, and the action plan to implement OECD recommendations.
