DUSHANBE, November 13, 2014, Asia-Plus — Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda will pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan from November 14-15 at the invitation of his Kyrgyz counterpart Djoomart Otorbayev, Subhiddin Muhiddinov, a senior consultant to the president’s press center, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

While in Bishkek, Rasoulzoda will hold talks with high ranking Kyrgyz state officials to discuss bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in various fields, including energy, transportation and construction.

“A special attention will be paid to the border delineation problems,” Muhiddinov said.

Nearly half of the 970-kilometer Kyrgyz-Tajik border remains legally undefined.  This year, the two countries have been locked in a tense border dispute for months around Vorukh, which is part of Tajikistan, but due to past redrawing of borders, it exists as an exclave some 20 kilometers inside Kyrgyzstan.
