The Tajik MFA information department says the sides discussed the main directions of cooperation between Tajikistan and the United States as well as a number of regional and international issues being of mutual interest.

According to data from the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan, trade between Tajikistan and the United States over the first nine months of this year has amounted some 130 million U.S. dollars, which is 11 percent fewer than in the same period last year.  This consisted practically only of Tajikistan’s imports from the United States.
