Dushanbe. 17 August. “Asia Plus” — The current leader of the Islamic Renaissance Party of Tajikistan Mukhiddin Cabri will not take part in the 12th regular congress of the party, which will take place on 15 September.

The deputy leader of the IRP Mahmadali Chait informed «Asia-Plus» that Kabiri will report to the delegates of the Congress of the four-year activities as a leader of the IRP via an online broadcast from Istanbul, place where he lives for about six months.

“The Congress will be held in Dushanbe, now it is worked on the issues related to the setting the place of the congress and the number of its delegates,” – said Chait.

He also stressed that the Congress will hear the report of the Audit Commission, new supreme political council of the party, the leader of the IRP and his deputies will be elected.

According to the charter of the IRP, the party leader is elected every four years. At the same time, there are no rules, how many times can the same candidate run for.
