Dushanbe. 19 August. “Asia Plus” — Possible realization of a “Smart City” in Tajikistan was discussed on Tuesday at a meeting of deputy chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) Sirodjiddin Ikromov and a delegation of the Chinese company “China SmartCity Technology” under the leadership of the company Jim Nie.

During the meeting Jim Nie said that «China SmartCity Technology» products are used in the banking industry, in education, health, transport and communication. The head office of the company is located in Shanghai.

It was stressed that using company`s  technologies can coordinate the activities of all banks in the country, in particular the use of smart cards can establish such services like payments, transfers and etc. in all banks in the common fare.

Jim Nie said that this technology operates today in many cities in China. The project is currently being implemented in 300 cities. Besides China the “Smart City” project acts in such developed countries as Germany, France and Japan.

Jim Nie added that Tajikistan may become the first country in Central Asia which has received such advanced technology.

“Smart City” – is the basis for the introduction of automation in the various spheres of life of the city and the region. Nearly unlimited number of systems and projects can be built up on this foundation. Additive systems management can increase their efficiency by several times.
