DUSHANBE, December 29, 2015, Asia-Plus – This year’s last session of the government, presided over by President Emomali Rahmon, was held on December 28.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, the session endorsed measures on implementation of the country’s law on the national budget for 2016.
The government reportedly also endorsed the key macroeconomic indicators forecast for 2017 and the main parameters of the key macroeconomic indicators forecast for 2018-2019.
The session also approved the national investment program designed for 2016-2020.
The government also endorsed bills amending the country’s laws on prosecutors, education, national security bodies, criminal punishment execution system, agency for state financial control and combating corruption, parental responsibility, electronic communications, periodicals and other mass media as well as the penal, tax, customs and penal procedure codes.
The session also endorsed the national water sector development program designed for 2016-2020, the national cattle-breeding development program designed for 2016-200 and the national program for development of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan fro 2016-2020.
Besides, the session endorsed the program for development of renewable energy resources and construction of small hydropower plants designed for 2016-2020 and the 2016-2020 programs for socioeconomic development of the city of Norak, Qubodiyon district in Khatlon province and Ishkashim district in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) as well as the redevelopment plan for the administrative center of Yovon district in Khatlon province.
