reports that head of the Islamic Revival Party (IRP)’s organization in Isfara and two activists of IRP in Isfara have got long jail terms.

A court in the northern city of Isfara recently sentenced the 72-year-old Abdusattor Boboyev, the head of the IRP’s organization in Isfara, as well as the IRP activists in Isfara  Bobohido Haidarov and Anorboy Safarov to prison terms between six and eleven years, according to RFE/RL’s Tajik Service.  The sentenced followed their conviction on charges of public calls for an extremist activity and organization of an extremist group.

Abdusattor Boboyev was sentenced to eleven years in prison and Bobohido Haidarov and Anorboy Safarov got jail terms of six and seven years respectively.
