DUSHANBE, July 15, 2016, Asia-Plus – Preparations for a military parade that will take place in Dushanbe on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence are progressing. 

According to the Dushanbe mayor’s office, the center of Dushanbe will be closed for traffic for three hours per day in connection with the military parade rehearsals until September 7.

An official source at the Dushanbe mayor’s office says the Hofizi Sherozi Avenue will be closed for traffic from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm until August 18.

From August 19 to September 7, the military parade rehearsals will be carried out in Dousti Square.  In this connection, Dousti Square will be closed for traffic from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.     

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence, military parades will be held in Dushanbe as well as in Sughd, Khatlon, Khorog and Rasht garrisons on September 9.  

According to the preliminary data, 16,000 servicemen of Tajikistan’s power wielding structures are expected to be on the military parade in Dushanbe on September 9.

As far as the Sughd, Khatlon, Khorog and Rasht garrisons are concerned, in all, 9,000 soldiers and officers will be on the military parades in these garrisons.
