The government of Tajikistan is planning to turn the Republic from the agrarian-industrial into a developed industrial-agrarian country.

“We set a goal through the establishment of various industrial enterprises to establish greater processing of domestic raw materials and in this way to turn Tajikistan from agrarian-industrial to a developed industrial-agrarian country,” said President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon today, August 24, at the ceremony of commissioning of a new cement plant in Yovon district.

He noted that to achieve this objective the government creates a major industrial zone in Yovon region.

“Through the establishment of systematic and effective functioning of various production enterprises, the industrial capacity of the district is growing not only in regional scale but in the scale of the whole country”, – said E. Rakhmon.

He recalled that in 1990 in Yovon district were operated only six industrial companies. “In the period of state independence with the adoption of a package of measures year by year has increase the number of industrial enterprises and shops, and today there are 37 units,” – said the head of Tajikistan.

According to him, in the course of this year and in the first three months of 2017 in Yovon district provided the beginning of the functioning of a number of large industrial enterprises, some of which have been already completed construction works and installation of equipment.
