The Minister of foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojidin Aslov on the 4th of September has visited the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Tajikistan.

On behalf of the government of Tajikistan he expressed condolences to the brotherly Uzbek people in connection with the untimely death of Islam Karimov, reports the information Department of the MFA of the RT.

"With a deep sense of grief and sorrow were accepted the news in Tajikistan of the heavy and irreparable loss of the friendly Uzbek people – the untimely demise of all of us respected Islam Abduganievich Karimov", – said Aslov.

"Islam Karimov, leading the country into a crucial period of its formation, as a new sovereign state, has firmly entrenched in the history of Uzbek people as an outstanding statesman, largely determined the nature and content development. Thanks to his wisdom and foresight he gained high recognition and as a politician of broad scale had a well-deserved reputation far beyond the borders of the country.

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan accept our deepest sympathy and condolences to the brotherly Uzbek people, sincere words of support to the family and friends of Karimov", – said the head of the MFA of the RT.
