State unitary enterprise "Tajik Railways" on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the state independence of the country has acquired in Kazakhstan a modern long-haul locomotive, which is equipped with electrical equipment and consumes much little fuel.

As reported the press service of the SUE "Tajik Railways", the purchased locomotive is the fifth locomotive, which was purchased in Kazakhstan by the railroad of Tajikistan in recent years.

In addition, in Estonia was purchased a diesel train, equipped with German engine, a diesel train consists of six cars, consumes only 1.5 liters of fuel per one kilometer.

Two cars of diesel trains have 68 seats for the passengers, three carriages have 128 seats and one carriage has 48 seats.
