An officer has been killed and a soldier has been injured as armored personnel carrier (APC) of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) has overturned.  

The accident reportedly took place in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) on October 17.

The APC was moving from Khorog, the capital of GBAO, to Ishkashim district for participation in a joint military exercise being conducted there for Tajik and Chinese servicemen.

As a result of the accident, a 31-year-old Major Nematullo Khaiurlloyev was killed while a private soldier, whose name has not yet been released, sustained injuries.
