Tajik filmmaker Yormahmad Aralov has shot a two-part documentary about Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
The documentary called “Marde az Sarnavisht” (The Crucial Man) will be demonstrated by all Tajik national TV channels on November 15-16 on the occasion of President’s Day, which is marked in Tajikistan on November 16.
The documentary is reportedly based on memories of Rahmon’s associates, known Tajik, Tajik civil war newsreels, etc.
Tajik lawmakers approved a bill to designate November 16 as President's Day on April 15, 2016 and President Emomali Rahmon signed this law on May 16, 2016 and it will be marked this year for the first time.
Exhibitions of books by Emomali Rahmon are expected to be organized at all libraries and museums across the country on this day.
Besides, exhibitions of works by Tajik painters and photographers dedicated to the president will be organized at museums and libraries.
On November 16, portraits of Emomali Rahmon with inscription “Our President – Our Leader” will be hung out in all regional and district centers.
On this day, meetings under the slogan of “Loyalty to President – Loyalty to Homeland” will take place in all military units across Tajikistan.
Besides, students of some high schools of Khatlon province will visit School # 7 in the Danghara district and the vocational-technical school in the city of Sarband in which Emomali Rahmon studied.
Recall that a bill passed in December last year gave Emomali Rahmon the title of “the Leader of the Nation” and granted him and his relatives lifelong immunity from prosecution.
On May 22, 2016, Tajikistan held a referendum on constitutional amendments that allow Rahmon to run for office for an indefinite number of times.
