Tajikistan’s team has reportedly taken the third place in an international charity festival-contest “Cult of Pilaf” that took place in Moscow on April 1 in the framework of Navrouz celebrations.

Chefs from 20 countries, representatives of diplomatic missions active in Moscow, as well as delegations from CIS member nations and other countries participated in the event.

The participants presented their skills of cooking pilaf.

The jury awarded the first place to the team of chefs from Uzbekistan and “representatives of the Kurdish culture took the second place in the event.”

The prize of spectator sympathies reportedly went to chefs from Kyrgyzstan.

The money, raised from the event, will be handed over to charity funds.

The “Cult of Pilaf” festival has been held in Russia since 2015.
