Belarusian Prosecutor-General Alexander Konyuk has arrived in Tajikistan to discuss cooperation.

Yesterday, he held talks with Sherkhon Salimzoda, Director of the Drug Control Agency (DCA) under the President of Tajikistan.

In the curse of the talks, Tajik drug control chief briefed Belarusian chief prosecutor on the current drug situation and measures being taken by the Tajik authorities to combat trafficking, Khoushnoud Rahmatulloyev, a spokesman for Tajik counternarcotics agency, told Asia-Plus in an interview.

According to him, Belarusian prosecutor-general proposed to hold an international conference on the drug trafficking problems with participation of heads of counternarcotics agencies from the CIS member nations next year in the Belarusian capital, Minsk.
