President pays working visit to Baljuvon district

Today morning, President Emomali Rahmon left Dushanbe for Baljuvon district in Khatlon province.

According to the Tajik president’s official website, the main purpose of the visit is for the president to get acquainted with the social and economic situation in the district.

Rahmon is expected to inaugurate a number of social and educational facilities in Baljuvon.

He has already attended commissioning ceremonies of two apartment buildings in the district.  About 8 million somoni have been spent for construction of those apartment buildings.  

Besides, the president has reportedly attended commissioning ceremony of a new building of the Baljuvon education department.  A total cost of the project is 2 million somoni. 

Today morning, Rahmon also attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Kangurt-Baljuvon-Khovaling road.  11.8 million U.S. dollars have been allocated for the construction of this 43-kilometer road, the website said.
